Job Summary:
The HR Generalist is responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources practices and processes within the organization. This role ensures the implementation of company policies, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance with labor laws, and fostering a positive workplace culture. The HR Generalist plays a key role in strategic planning, talent acquisition, and organizational development to support the company’s growth and success.
Your Role on the Team (Job Functions):
HR Generalist:
- Serve as a bridge between the executive leadership team and employees to develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the company’s goals while working to improve work relationships and increase engagement
- Lead recruitment and onboarding initiatives, including job postings, interviews, and new hire orientation
- Develop and update job descriptions in collaboration with hiring managers
- Complete bi-weekly payroll for all employees using ADP
- Administer compensation, benefits, and performance appraisal programs
- Collect and review electronic timesheets from non-exempt employees for completeness and accuracy
- Handle workplace investigations, disciplinary actions, terminations and conflict resolution
- Manage employee relations, providing guidance on policies and conflict resolution
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and HR best practices
- Support performance management processes, including annual reviews
- Maintain HR records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
- Lead training and development initiatives for employees
- Lead in HR projects, including employee engagement programs
- Maintain confidentiality
- Maintain accurate and organized personnel files in compliance with records retention policies
- Develop and maintain SOPs for payroll, benefits, and HR-related processes to ensure efficiency and organization
- Manage the PTO tracking system and communicate with employees and managers about time-off requests
Office Administrator:
- Handle scheduling and calendar management for lunch and learns, happy hours and office events
- Support company events, meetings, and employee engagement initiatives
- Handle monthly office grocery ordering
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- At least 2 Years of experience in an HR role
- Strong knowledge of labor laws , HR best practices and employee regulations
- Strong knowledge of benefit administration
- Strong knowledge of payroll processing
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
- Proficiency in HRIS software (ADP RUN preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite
- SHRM-CP / SHRM-SCP is a plus
Compensation: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
